Daughter of the Universe,
Chaser of a dream...
Alone, and not so lonely now
Although at first you seem.

A lover's kiss can mean so much,
It makes you want to swoon;
Before the first is through you want
The next one to come soon.

And when it hurts to fall in love,
Don't think you're out of luck.
The hole that's in your heart is where
Blind Cupid's arrow struck.

You'll learn to love until it hurts -
A healing kind of pain.
It's like a wound that you don't want
To ever heal again.

A lover's touch is always thought
A very sweet sensation.
You find you're waiting to be held
In great anticipation.

But waiting is a lonely game
That never seems to end.
So while you're playing solitaire,
Your game of "let's pretend",
You think of how the next touch
Will send shivers down your spine.
It's like an appetite worked up
Before it's time to dine.

A lover's words are wonderful,
They open your heart's door.
Sweet nothings in your ear will leave you
Begging for some more.

Sometimes you think the words he says
Are meaningless to you,
And the more you think about them,
The more that this seems true.

But you will treasure all that's said
From January to December,
And cherish them inside your heart
As lessons to remember.

Your thoughts are as erratic
As the beating of your heart.
And that's because when you're in love
You tend to fall apart
While memories of the one you love
Would dance about your mind,
Then suddenly he disappears
